Slurry lagoons

Professionaly designed and built

Jones Bros has its roots in agriculture, having evolved from a livestock farm run by two brothers to become one of the UK’s leading civil engineering companies.

Our expertise in areas such as landfill and land remediation is completely transferrable to building earth-banked slurry lagoons for farmers affected by Nitrate Vulnerable Zone (NVZ) regulations coming into force on 1 January, 2012.

Recently we have been using our skills and experience to build earth banked slurry lagoons, as we’ve been building and running landfill sites and carrying out land remediation all over the country for many years.

Why choose an earth banked slurry lagoon?

A bespoke earth banked lagoon, taking into account location, soil type, stone content, water table levels and the needs of the specific farm, can be the most cost-effective solution for slurry storage.

Benefits of an earth banked slurry lagoon include:

● Flexibility of size, shape and location to meet farm needs
● Capable of meeting Environment Agency guidelines
● Highly cost-effective in the short and long term
● Minimal visual impact
● Long life span when designed, constructed and maintained correctly

Why choose Jones Bros?
