A good year for Jones Bros was topped off when the company was shortlisted in the final of the Business of the Year category of the Daily Post Achievement Wales 2009 Awards 2009.

Jones Bros was pipped to the post by a deserving winner, Nice-Pak International, based in Flint.

Jones Bros managing director, Huw Jones, said:

“We were really pleased to have been nominated for such a prestigious award. It is an acknowledgement of the excellent reputation we have built up as one of the UK’s leading civil engineering companies and is a testament to the high quality of our work.

Despite the tough economic climate, the company’s turnover increased to £38m in 2008-09. It has a wealth of expertise in developing highways, building infrastructure, providing waste management and remediation services, devising coastal and flood protection, road construction and managing complex logistics for renewable energy.
